The procreation of farna could be adjusted by nucleolus restorer genes in various modes, such as transcriptional level, transcriptional processing, translational level and translational modification. If the sterility of the male corn is dependent on the expression of orf110, the adjusted mechanisms for the unpre and restoration of the male can be proposed that a cytotoxic peptide might be responsible for the sterility of the male corn. Such cytotoxic peptide is generated by expression and translation of  the sterile bud. Because orf110 did not be expressed by the remained buds,  generation of the cytotoxic peptide is not reponsable for the fertility the buds. As is known to us, fertile F1 buds own the restorer genes. Therefore£¬though orf110 was transcripted by fertile F1 buds, restorer genes have orf110 not being transcripted in the ways of transcriptional processing, translational level and translational modification, or have the transcripted proteins not damage the growth of bud, resulting in recovering procreation of F1. Due to the complexity of such process, a deep study is required to clarify the interaction between restorer genes and orf110 transcript.

In CMS line, orf110 was transcripted and was translated a kind of cytotoxic peptide in buds resulting in male sterility; On the contrary, the maintain line was fertile for without transcription of orf110; As is known to us, fertile F1 ownes the restorer genes; Though orf168 was transcripted normally in fertile F1 buds, through the post-transcriptional or translational/post-translational modification, the restorer genes could prevent orf110 transcript from translating or modify the translated-protein to lessen or eliminate the deleterious effects on the growth of buds, resulting in fertility restoration of F1. Due to the complexity of such process, a deep study is required to clarify the interaction between restorer genes and orf110 transcript.
