Dear Professor S, I am a master student under supervision of Professor J, who told me that you were looking for a Ph.D. student with a biochemical or molecular biology background. I am greatly interested in this opportunity, and that is why I am writing to you. During undergraduate study, I was well exposed to biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology and proteomics.
