[交流] 【求助】如何准备约束性文件已有1人参与

我九月份博士毕业，没有在国内找工作，直接到美国做访问学者，不知道该如何准备签证时所要的约束性文件，证明自己肯定回来。

证明约束力－如何准备

在面谈中，签证官试图判断申请人与其所在国的约束力是否牢固。也就是说，签证官要看看一个中国申请人在去美国以后有没有什么原因会使他回到中国。他们在中国有家人吗？他们在中国有财产吗？他们在中国有工作吗？等等。

很多想要去美国探亲访友的申请人认为他们需要准备其在美接待人的信息。其实不然。有时邀请函有一定帮助，然而，关于在美亲友的其他信息，如银行纪录、担保书、股票说明等并不必要。

请记住，签证官关注的是申请人自身与中国的约束力，而非其亲友的约束力。

Establishing Ties – What to Prepare

When interviewing applicants, visa officers try to determine the strength of an individual’s ties to their home country. In other words, visa officers look to see what reasons a Chinese visa applicant has to return to China after a stay in the United States. Do they have family in China? Do they own property in China? Do they have a job in China? Etc.

Many visa applicants who want to visit family or friends in the U.S. believe they need to prepare information about their hosts in the United States. They don’t. Sometimes it is helpful to provide an invitation letter. However, other information about your friends or family in the United States, including bank records, affidavits of support, stock statements, etc. are not needed.

Remember, visa officers are interested in the individual visa applicant’s ties to China, not in applicants’ friends’ or family’s ties.
