The production processes of n-butyl, isobutanol and octanol are as follows. To begin with, the n-butanal and isobutyraldehyde can be gained by the refining of rough aldehyde synthesized by the carbonylation of propylene and syngas (CO and H2), secondly, the product n-butyl alcohol and isobutanol can be got by hydrogenation, finally, the product octanol is got by the hydrogenation of 2-ethylhexenal gained by the dehydration-condensation reaction of two n-butanal molecules. |
