| A new complex of lanthanum perchlorate coordinated with glutamic acid, La(Glu)(Im)6(ClO4)3•4HClO4•4H2O, was synthesized and characterized. Microcalorimetry was used to evaluate the biologic effect of the synthetic complex on E. coli DH5α. Power–time curves of the growth metabolism to E. coli DH5α were studied using a TAM Air Isothermal Microcalorimeter at 37°C. From the power–time curves, the parameters such as growth rate constants (k), inhibitory ratio (I), maximum heat power (Pm) and maximum heat power time (tm) were obtained. The results show that the concentrations of the complex could affect the growth metabolism of E. coli DH5. The concentration of the complex in the range of (0–1.0) μg∙mL–1 has a stimulatory effect on thegrowth of E. coli DH5α, while the higher concentrations (1.0 –5.0) μg∙mL–1 of the complex could inhibit its growth. |

第二句是不是应该为biological effect? 第三句growth metabolism是什么?应该是growth and metabolism呢还是只是growth?
