Chloroplast genetic engineering has many advantages compared with nuclear genetic enginering, especially site-specific introduction of foreign genes avoiding gene siliency and position effect which made explore the regulation and mechanism of chloroplast genes`expression in viro available. Chloroplast genetic engineering also can identify the structure and function of the chloroplast genome by reverse genetics or improve the photosynthesis efficiency. Prospects Chloroplast genetic engineering provides a new perspective to explore the plastid gene’s expression [43,69].which displays several types of promoters, translate initiation and.RNA process steps. The regulation between transcription and translation system is of great significance to the transplastid plant. chloroplast genetic engineering made the study of Rubisco not limited to Rbc-S , which open up an effective way to the physical and development of chloroplast. Moreover, the signal from plastid to nuclear also characteristic describe the cells, organs and the interaction between them. It is a reflection of co-ordination between nuclear and chloroplast, also a new area the chloroplast genetic engineering involved. With the development of molecular biology and chloroplast genetic engineering in basic research,we will open the chloroplast’s mysterious veil. |
