However, I do believe that this new manuscript could be considered for publication, if you make the required changes. JMB strives to publish papers that generate new mathematical results and apply these results to provide new biological insights. This paper is missing the connection to the biology. What are the biological questions? How are these translated into mathematical equations? How are the mathematical results then translated back into new insight regarding the biology? > >Overall the paper is written simply in terms of mathematical results, without the connection back to the biology. If you wish to revise the paper so as to connect it more closely to the biology, then I encourage you to submit the revised version to JMB. Alternatively you may want to consider a mathematical journal without the requirement of the connection back to the biology. > >I look forward to your revised paper, if you think that you can revise it according to the above suggestions |
