Post-doctoral Position in Computational Geomechanics We are actively searching for a post-doctoral researcher who will conduct computational geomechanics research on landslides and debris flow. This position will be jointly supervised by Dr. Jinhyun Choo (choogroup.org) and Dr. Clarence E. Choi (cechoi.org) in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of The University of Hong Kong (HKU). This is a one-year postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance. Duties - Develop and advance numerical models and algorithms for large deformation modeling of fluid-infiltrated porous materials. - Simulate, analyze, and interpret data from granular flow experiments. - Investigate the physics of wet granular flows by integrating the numerical modeling studies and the experimental data. - Publish reports and journal papers summarizing research findings. - Present results at meetings and conferences. - Perform other duties as assigned.
