A fully-funded Ph.D. position is available for 2019 Fall in Dr. Wei Gao's group at University of Texas at San Antonio (www.gao-group.org). The prospective student should be highly motivated to take part in theoretical, computational and/or experimental research related to multiscale mechanics of advanced materials. Depending on the background of applicants, the fellowship will be ranged from $35000 to $45000, which covers the tuition and stipend. The annual in-state tuition is around $12000. University of Texas at San Antonio, a fast growing university, has become the third largest institution within the UT System, through an aggressive expansion of its research productivity. San Antonio is the seventh most populous city in the United States. It is home to six Fortune 500 companies and has plenty of job opportunities.
