Thank you for your email expressing your desire to pursue PhD studies at the University of Sheffield.
We would like to follow up your interest to study at Sheffield. In order that we may fully consider your application and the potential research area you may be interested in could I ask that you submit a formal application for research studies using our online application system accesses via the following link [http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/postgraduate/research/apply/applying]. Please re-attach a copy of your CV to this application and also describe some of your research interests in more detail - there is scope to upload a proposal idea if you have one currently. Alternatively I have a number of project areas that may be of interest to you. Once this is received we can then assess your application fully and explore it in more detail if you are academically suitable.
