From abservation, A presented a smooth surface (figure 1), a typical character of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignose. After acid washing, the sorbent surface became rough, loose and poriferous (figure 2). The introducing of carbon-sulphur double bonds strngthened the linkage between the molecules of sorbent surface, tightening the surface (figure 3). Adding of acetic zinc and calcium sulfide in modified system yielded on the sorbent surface numerous uniform, lustrous and highly-ordered zinc sulfides, sphere shaped, sized 20-30nm (figure 4). These zinic sulfides enhanced the sorption of the sorbent to chrome. |
