Reports: --------------- ARGUMENTATION: It's difficult to read the paper because of the english and many mistakes, such as the use of wildly instead of widely. Although I'm not an expert in this subject, some parts of the paper are repeated, and I have the impression that the only contribution of this paper is the design of the pattern of the marker, as the process of detecting lines is trivial in this case. --------------- --------------- ARGUMENTATION: This paper present a system based on fiducial marker as a new tool to replace existing surgical tracking device by reducing the cost. I am providing few minor comments to improve the manuscript: 1. This idea looks original to me and the preliminary results look promising. However, I believe that more advance experiments are required to verify the accuracy of this system in real surgical conditions. The authors need to acknowledge this point in their conclusions. 2. Another process that could be used is the SLAM (Simultaneous localization and mapping) to avoid the use of targets. It would be good if the authors can consider this new approach for future applications 3. This manuscript is full of typos e.g. "thedistance", "system.Navigation" 4. System - "next chapter" should be "next section" --------------- |
