请问Bio-rad protein assay 什么意思？

我是学分析的，对一些生物的东西不够了解，看文献中有“Bio-rad protein assay(Bio-rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA)”，是什么意思？应该是一种定量测定蛋白含量的方法吧？ 整个句子是这样的“the protein content of the combined supernatant was measured using a Bio-rad protein assay (Bio-rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA) with bovine serum albumin as a protein standard.” |

It involves the addition of an acidic dye to protein solution,and subsequent measurement at 595 nm with a spectrophotometer or microplate reader.
