I have reviewed your manuscript and have some question I would like you to address before I consider sending it for external review. In your description of the experiment, you list a number of factors that were assessed: pH, removal time, temperature, and salinity. Presumably these were evaluated separately in relation to removal but this in unclear. For example, you present an ANOVA table (did you really run an ANOVA of this size?) but also ran a CCD which is designed, in part, to reduce the number of levels tested for multiple factors in a multi-factor ANOVA. This is confusing. The problem is confounded by the lack of information in the table/figure captions. In the ANOVA table (Table 3) I presume that terms like AB and AC are interaction terms and that the superscripted numbers refer to interactions between the same factor (the superscripted numbers might lead some readers to search for the corresponding note at the bottom of the table. I suggest changing this to "AxB" or "CxC" if this is the intent. Also, if the experiments were replicated, why are there no error bars associated with the bars in Figure 1? 特别是其中的 Presumably these were evaluated separately in relation to removal but this in unclear.
