L was detd. at 20-60¡ã for the following solns.: (a) MeOH and EtOH in BuOH, (b) PhBr and PhI in PhCl, and (c) C6H14 and C7H16 in C8H18. L of (a) and (b) is a linear function of the concn. C. When expressed as kcal./mol. L is higher for liquids of higher crit. temp. tc (cf. C.A. 46, 321i; 48, 4911f); when expressed as cal./g. the reverse is true.
