Synthesis of Organic-Soluble Oleylamine-Capped CNDs : All chemicals were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich and used as received unless otherwise specifi ed. We add citric acid (1 g) and 0.5 M nitric acid (1 mL) to water (1 mL). Several controlled experi-ments were performed by varying the precursor (0.5 g of glucose, 1.0 g of fructose, 0.2 g of glycolic acid, and 0.2 g of glycine) and the mass of citric acid (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 g). The mixture was vigorously stirred to dissolve citric acid and then injected with  x   mL of oleylamine and  y  mL of octadecene, where  x : y   = 4:6, 3:7, 2:8, 1:9, and 0.5:9.5. The solution was vigorously stirred for 10 min to form a milky emulsion. The emulsion was heated to 250 ??C under argon for 2 h. Different reaction temperatures (160 and 200 ??C) were also tried. The color of the solution became transparent with raising temperature and fi nally turned to dark brown.  The resultant solution was precipitated with methanol, isolated by centrifugation (3000 rpm for 10 min), and re-dispersed in hexane. This process was repeated three times to remove residuals. The final colloidal CNDs (??1 g) were dried in a vacuum oven (80 ??C) overnight and then stored in a desiccator for further use.

甲醇的作用是沉淀剂，加甲醇后离心，保留沉淀物。甲醇层有发光是因为肯定有少量的碳点存留在甲醇层。加正己烷是为了再次分散碳点。然后向己烷溶液中加甲醇再次沉淀碳点

洗几次需要经验，不一定像文章里说的那样，清洗步骤除了第一个循环是反应液，其他就是甲醇向碳点的己烷溶液中加，量需要实验经验，建议碳点浓度高点。
