找一本大一点的纯英文字典你问的都有，自己慢慢琢磨就都有了。
例如 defect：
1. a lack of something necessary for completeness or perfection; shortcoming; deficiency
2. an imperfection, failing, or blemish
3. (Chemistry) crystallog a local deviation from regularity in the crystal lattice of a solid. See also point defect, dislocation.

shortcoming
disadvantage - the quality of having an inferior or less favorable position
        3.        defect - an imperfection in an object or machinedefect - an imperfection in an object or machine; "a flaw caused the crystal to shatter"; "if there are any defects you should send it back to the manufacturer"
flaw, fault
imperfection, imperfectness - the state or an instance of being imperfect
4. (intr) to desert one's country, cause, allegiance, etc, esp in order to join the opposing forces

Defect, flaw refer to faults, both literal and figurative, that detract from perfection. Defect is the general word for any kind of shortcoming, imperfection, or deficiency, whether hidden or visible: a birth defect; a defect in a plan. A flaw is usually a structural defect or weakness that mars the quality or effectiveness: a flaw in a diamond.
例句
The report pointed out the defects in the present system.
He defected from the party twenty years ago.
