        Abstract:        Aiming at the acoustic radiation problem of a structure under nonlinear vibration excitations, the vibro-acoustic coupled dynamic equations of a plate under Duffing oscillator's excitation were derived based on the variational principle. The approximately analytical solution to the coupled equations in light liquid was obtained with the modal expansion and incremental harmonic balance method (IHBM). The expressions of the average vibration velocity of the plate surface and the acoustic radiation power under multi-frequency also were derived. Then, the influences of excitation frequency and nonlinear stiffness on the nonlinear vibration and acoustic radiation of the plate were investigated. The results showed that the vibro-acoustic coupled problem of the plate under Duffing oscillator's excitation is a complex dynamic problem containing discrete and continuous systems; there are second jump phenomena and new resonant characters in Duffing oscillator's motion; the vibro-acoustic characteristics of the plate depends upon the third harmonic component. The results provided a theoretical base for the vibro-acoustic design of vibration isolation structures. ©, 2015, Chinese Vibration Engineering Society. All right reserved.
