Canadian English (spelling)

Canadian spelling is a strange mixture of British English and American English.

* British spelling used by Canadians:

Canadians use "honour", "labour" instead of "honor" and "labor"
Canadians use "centre", "calibre" instead of "center" and "caliber"
Canadians use "jewellery" instead of "jewellry"
Canadian use "labelled" instead of "labeled"
and presumably "traveller" instead of "traveler"

* Americanism adopted by Canadians:

However,
Canadians "rationalize" and "recognize", not "rationalise" and "recognise"
but Canadians usually "analyse", not "analyze".
Canadians use "program", "artifact", "tire" and "specialty" instead of
"programme", "artefact", "tyre" and "speciality"
Canadians use "asthetic", "medieval", "encyclopedia" instead of
"aesthetic" "mediaeval" "encyclopaedia"
