mouth-to-mouth imitation app become popular,do you know it has English version?

Dubsmash is a new mobile app that lets you record a video ofyourself, synced to a preselected sound clip, such as a well-known quote from a movie or a popular song, and then share the video on the social media. When Dubsmash founders, Jonas Drüppel, Roland Grenke and Daniel Taschik, created the app,they had an inkling they were on to something. But, after failing to conquer the iOS app storetwice before, they couldn’t have known for certain that they had a smash hit on their hands. However, just seven days after officially launching on November 19th 2014, they’d reached thenumber one spot in their home country of Germany. A success that would soon be replicated in29 countries, including the UK, France and Holland. There’s obvious potential copyright issues inherent in Dubsmash, since the majority of uploadedsounds are from unlicensed content, namely TV and film sound clips. Thus far, however, this hasn’t been a problem, says Grenke. Should that change, the startup plansto work within a ‘take-down notice’ model when a license holder complains. |
