我觉得有必要。顾名思义可以让人少一些匪夷所思。语言带有太多的多余信息和混淆信息,容易对初学者造成干扰。ls举的就是。另外对功函数深有体会,本来就是个束缚能,非要搞个专用术语,糊弄人嘛。

偶对作者此举深深不以为然,语言的目的是为了communication,物理学名词演化了这么多年,很多东西早就约定俗成,突然再搞这么一套新的符号出来,确实让人不知所云,窃以为,只有民科喜欢自己去创造一些名词,不知道原文作者是不是属于此类

像你说的那样,就不用设置名词委员会每年开会审定术语了,都约定俗成好了。

不是,我的意思是专业名词翻译是名词委员会已经定好了的,如果像东吴这位仁兄,自己再搞一套出来,不可能有人去用。
但是确实有些名词翻译的不好,这是事实,比如conservative force应该是“守恒力”而非“保守力”
不过有些术语确实在改,比如原来叫维里定理,现在改成位力定理。
我想他似乎是在号召人做后面这种事情,但明白了英文含义就好,因为这些词本来就是用英语创造的。
