Usually, it is dependent on your catalyst type, preparation method, pretreatment condition, reaction temperature, feed rate etc., it varies from hours to days. |

| Usually, for SAPO-34, at 400oC with the WHSV of around 0.5 to1 h-1, the catalyst life is more than 5 hours. For HZSM-5, it does depend on the Si/Al ratio and, obviously, low Al content is beneficial for the catalyst life. Low Si/Al HZSM-5 is indeed MTG catalyst. It is generally agreed that HZSM-5 has stronger acidity than SAPO-34, so deactivation is more severe under the same conditions. |
