This paper reports the preparation and study of an inorganic precursor membrane with a NaA zeolite composition and its subsequent hydrothermal transformation to form a self-supporting NaA zeolite membrane. The majority of the geopolymer gel was converted into the zeolite phase after the hydrothermal process was applied, whereas a small quantity of non-converted material inside the membrane continued to provide strength and buttressing support to the zeolite membrane. The volume of the micropores of the geopolymer changed from 0 to 0.049 cc/g after the hydrothermal process. The self-supporting NaA zeolite membranes may be potential used in organic solvent dehydration processes or seawater desalination because these membranes possess high compressive strength (approximately 57 MPa) and good ion % rejection (approximately 99.5% at a water flux of 0.42 kg m-2 h-1 and a work temperature of 25ºC).

本文报告制备和研究一种含有NaA沸石的无机前体膜及随后将其水温转化形成自身支持的NaA沸石膜。经水温处理后大多数的地质聚合物凝胶转化为沸石相,而膜中少量未转化材料继续在沸石膜中提供强度和扶墙支持。水温处理后地质聚合物微孔体积由0变为 0.049 cc/g。这种自身支持的NaA沸石膜可用于有机溶剂脱水或海水脱盐。因为这类膜具有高耐压强度(近 57 MPa)和良好的离子%排除(在25摄氏度,0.42 kg/平方米/小时的水流量下可达近99.5%。
