The effect of the amount of DEA and TEA added on the chiral resolution of DHT was investigated. The results showed that the presence of 0.1% TEA was beneficial to the separation of the two enantiomers, and the resolution of 3.26 for the enantiomers was achieved. The results were shown in Table 2. DEA had little effect on the DHT resolution. TEA showed a complex pattern on the separation, it affected not only the resolution, but also the peak area and peak height as well. During the experiment, it was found that as the TEA concentration was increased, the peak area and peak height gradually reduced, with no apparent improvement for the resolution. So the finally 0.1%TEA was chosen.
