Recently, shocking news has been quickly known in all china peoples. A younger and famous professor in Tianjin University has been charged by FBI. The USA has said the professor has stolen a key technology that been used mobile phone for improve the sound quality.

The professor deserves it I think, in china, people don't respect patterns, they directly copy other study results, and the government should punish these kinds of crime severely.

On his infringement of patented technologies, it is a bit early to make some conclusive comments. I know that the Thin Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator is really a state of the art electroacoustic technology, which may be very useful in many civilian or military technological fields and has not been well industrialized in China yet.

The incident may make the U.S. visa be more difficult to be issued to a Chinese scientist/engineer with a acoustics or mechanics related background.
