申请香港的博后，对方（一院士）回复说愿意给visiting scholar position，月薪18k，请问各位虫友，二者有何区别？这个工资略低于博后，难道是对方经费有限？
对方回信：
Dear Dr. xxx,
I am thinking of offering you a position as a visiting scholar at HKUST for one year (extendable to 2 year or more) with a monthly salary of HK$18,000. Please let me know whether you are interested or not.
