A PhD position is available in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. The position, supported by the National Science Foundation, will focus on developing mathematical and computational models to study within-host dynamics of virus infections and immune responses. The candidate can also do research in mathematical epidemiology, for example, spread and transmission of infectious diseases between hosts, development of drug resistance, and treatment strategies. English requirement: TOEFL (Paper): 550 or TOEFL (Computer): 213 or TOEFL (Internet): 79 GRE can be waived. Funding is in place. The support is up to five years.
