Although there are no distinct differences observed in cell density
among the three modified films (Figure 3b-d), the cell morphology
on the NH3 plasma-treated surfaces (Figure 3b) or the PEGMALlinked
surfaces (Figure 3c) look rather different from that on the
RGD-modified surface (Figure 3d). The former are mainly round
and flattened (Figure 3b,c), whereas the latter are mostly spindle-like
(Figure 3d), similar to normal 3T3 cells. Such differences are most
shown in Figure 4, one day after cell seeding, there were slightly
more cells that adhered to the RGD-modified surface than to the
unmodified surface. After 3 or 5 days of culture, the amount of
living cells on the RGD-modified film dramatically increased and
is significantly more than that on the unmodified film.

虽然在三个修饰膜（图3b-d)当中没有观察到细胞密度有明显的差异,在NH3等离子体处理过的表面（图3b)或PEGMAL耦合的表面（图3c）的泡孔形态看起来更不同于RGD修饰表面（图3d）的泡孔形态。前者主要是圆的和扁平的,而后者绝大部分是纺锤状（图3d）,与正常的3T3细胞相似。这种差异的大部分如图4所示,细胞接种一天之后,附着于RGD修饰表面的细胞比附着于未修饰的表面的细胞略多一点。培养三到五天之后, RGD修饰膜上的活细胞数量显著地增加，明显多于未修饰膜上的活细胞数量。
