| Yes, you can calculate viscosity of liquids by non-equilibrium molecular dynamics. In shear field, shear viscosity equals stress in shear direction and shear gradient direction divides the shear rate (gamma_dot). The viscosity we want is zero shear viscosity, so we can extrapolate data to gamma_dot=0 to get it. The simulation result can be accurate to the same magnitude of order with experimental result for polymer liquids. For simple liquids, the result will be more accurate. |
