当今外语教学都十分强调语言的输入量。从语言学习的规律来看,外语应用能力的提高建立在大量的语言输入基础之上。读和听都是接受、理解信息的 过程,但我国的中小学英语教学缺少自然习得语言的社会环境,听的输入渠道显得不够宽泛,语言输入便更多地依赖于课堂教学以及学生课外广泛而有效的阅读。通过阅读,学习者不仅掌握了语言知识、增强了语感、获取了信息,而且可以提高语言运用能力,培养交际能力。语言学家Hafier 等认为除了身临其境,到说目的语的本族人之中去以外,提高外语水平的最好途径是大量广泛的阅读。 |

| Current foreign language education lays emphasis on input quantity of language. From the aspect of language learning rule, the improvement of foreign language application ability rely on the basis of large amounts of language input. Reading and listening are the process of receiving and comprehending information,however, the English language teaching in China's middle and primary schools lacks the natural social atmosphere for English language practicing and improving. Due to the limited input approaches for foreign language listening, the foreign language input therefore more rely on class teaching process and individual's effective and extensive extracurricular reading. Through reading, the learner can not only grasp language knowledge, improve language sense, obtain information but also improve their language application ability and develop their communicative competence. Hafier, a linguist believes apart from experiencing a native language atmosphere by stepping into life of native speakers, the best way to improve foreign language level is to read extensively. |
