The synthesis and characterization of p-bromo-phenylacetylene catalysted by chitosan supported palladium chloride was studied in this paper, as well as the optimum reaction conditions of this reaction. Main research contents are as follows: Chitosan supported palladium chloride was prepared, which is used as catalyst to sythesis p-bromo-phenylacetylene, and the product is characterized by infrared spectrometer. The results show that the obtained product is really the target compound p-bromo-phenylacetylene. The effect of reaction temperature, time, chitosan supported palladium chloride, co-catalyst CuI and water on reaction yield were also studied. The results show that when at 80¡æ, reaction time is 12h, amount of substance of co-catalyst CuI is 0.01 times that of compound ¢ò, reacte 12 hours ,the reaction yield is higher. The content of chitosan supported palladium chloride has little effect on reaction yield, little water has no effect . |

| Chitosan is the only kind of naturally occurring basic polysaccharide which has been discovered by hunman so far. Its structure inludes the basic unit of chitosan and biodegradable ethyl phthalein glucosamine unit. So chitosan has chelation on metal ions especially some transition metal ions. Chitosan has extensive sources and good solubility. |
