Maybe you can tell us which type of letter do you need for your visa application in case you still need it? 导师给我发邮件问需要的邀请信种类，我是去德国读博的，第一年拿的是马普的fellowship，第二年要随导师搬到西班牙，读博注册的学校是在西班牙的，麻烦问下我该怎么回老师呢，谢谢。 |

The invitation should include the following information: 1. Title of your doctoral research or at least the research topic/ field 2. Anticipated start and end date and the duration 3. Language requirements, meaning that the professor should confirm that German is not a requirement and that your English level is sufficient for doing doctoral research in his lab 4. How you are going to finance yourself. If you get a contract, he should mention it (monthly salary, duration of contract, possible extension etc.). In this case it would be the best if you can show the signed contract during your visa application. |
