Ph.D. on the theory of seismic/acoustic interferometry

Dear colleagues, I am looking for perspective graduate students interested in doing a Ph.D. starting before the end of 2015, on the theory of seismic/acoustic interferometry ("ambient noise"  and the role of scattering (some more info here [1]). The thesis will be here at UPMC Paris but co-supervised by colleagues at the Institut Langevin in Paris (J. de Rosny) and ISTERRE-Universite de Grenoble (P. Roux). We are looking for motivated students with a good quantitative background. The project is part of the WAVES ITN (http://hestia.lgs.jussieu.fr/~boschil/waves.html) [2] and is funded by the Marie Curie program (salary and funding are very competitive).
