求助虫友~~ 美国一个一般的学校老师回复： 开始说些些鼓励申请的套话，然后这样说的：I am certainly looking to add talented individuals to my group; though I should take a moment to note the standard protocol we use to place students in research groups. We ask all entering students to interview with all of the faculty members in order to learn about the available research opportunities. Roughly half-way through the first semester of study, new students shall submit a form requesting their top three choices for research advisor. Then the faculty meet to assign students to advisors. The match is based a variety of factors such as balancing group size with external funding and availability of positions in a group. We strive to assign students to their top choice of research advisor. 最后说I invite you to take a deeper look at our department, and encourage you to submit an application. 就是鼓励申请了一下，他也没提CSC，也没说别的，貌似意思是过去了再选导师之类的，这样的情况一般有木有funding，话说现在问合适不？应该怎么回复合适啊？ |
