我想请问一下这句话的两种说法那种比较符合英语书面语的表达方式？

最近在写推荐信，有句话不知怎么写，想请教一下那种写法比较符合native的书面语写法。 第一种： His two years of intense efforts led to his two new papers, one of them, "论文名字", has been published in 杂志名字, whilst the other, "论文名字", is under review in 杂志名字. 或者是第二种： His two years of intense efforts led to his two new papers: "论文名字" which has been published in 杂志名字, and "论文名字" which is under review in 杂志名字. 因为需要把论文的标题加进去，所以请问哪种说法比较好？ 如果有更好的写法，那么应该怎么写呢？ |

既然是推荐信，适当吹一吹。  Due to his hard work in the past two years, he produced two papers with high quality. One of them, ' title ', has already been published in ' ....journal ', while the other one, ' ... title ' , has been submitted to '... journal ' , which I believe will have a promising result. |
