He says it's the appropriate time for hagel to move on, after coming into office focused on ending the Afghan war and dealing with budget cuts, but being hit with other crises, including Russian aggression in Ukraine.
after 后半句很复杂。求高人解释。。。

He says it's the appropriate time for hagel to move on, after coming into office focused on ending the Afghan war and dealing with budget cuts, but being hit with other crises, including Russian aggression in Ukraine.

如果看到after coming into office focused on 后面有3个并列大概就不觉得复杂了：
ending the Afghan war and
dealing with budget cuts, but
being hit with other crises, including Russian aggression in Ukraine.

抱歉，看错了focused on 后面只有两个并列，
focused on
ending the Afghan war and
dealing with budget cuts,
这个but being hit with other crises, including Russian aggression in Ukraine.是最前面的主句的补充说明

after后面 有两个动词。。come and focus
一个状语从句，怎么能有两个动词呢？
