[交流] Research Professor positions available at Dongguk University-Seoul, Korea 已有1人参与

Starting date: March 1st, 2015

Position description:
We have an opening for one or two foreign research professors at Department of Energy and Materials Engineering. Candidates are expected to have a strong background and/or interest in structural characterization of electrochemical energy storage materials such as batteries and supercapacitors using synchrotron based X-ray techniques. The position is non-tenure track, but is renewable every two years based on the performance evaluation (2 first- or corresponding- authored SCI papers per year). We are looking for candidates who can work at least 3 ~ 4 years. Salary will be commensurate with experience in the range of between $40,000 and $50,000. Additional housing support of $600~$700/month will be provided to whom currently living other country than South Korea. Medical insurance, private school pension and additional incentives based on the performance will also be provided. Position Requirements:
Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemical engineering, Chemistry or relevant fields. At least 2 years of research experience is must after Ph. D. Experience and knowledge for structural characterization of materials using x-ray diffraction and/or x-ray absorption spectroscopy. At least 6 SCI publication records (3 of them should be either first- or corresponding-authored publication) are required to apply within 3 years (3/1/2012~2/28/2015).

Desirable Capabilities/Expertise/Experience:
Experience in using synchrotron based x-ray techniques such as x-ray diffraction/scattering, x-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS/XANES and/or NEXAFS). Knowledge of operating synchrotron beamline facilities for data acquisition and familiarity of x-ray diffraction and absorption software packages for data analysis including the Rietveld refinement and/or EXAFS fitting. Hand on experience in measuring electrochemical properties of the electrode materials for lithium batteries or post-lithium ion chemistry such as Na-ion, metal-air batteries. Good English writing and oral skills for publications and presentations.
