Following the exposure period, the cells were processed, re-plated and incubated during a 7 day "expression" period, and then reprocessed and grown for 7 days in hypoxanthine-free medium that contained 24pM 6-thioguanine. The cultures were then fixed and the numbers of colonies were counted. Results: No significant change in the rate of cell survival in the presence of 6-thioguanine (gene mutation) was observed at any concentration of the test material that was used, either with or without metabolic activation. |

经过处理期之后（应该是用某种药物处理培养细胞），对细胞进行处理，重新铺板（就是再将细胞接种在培养皿或板或瓶中），经过7天的“表达”期间培养，再加工处理（所谓再加工显示是指将细胞消化下来，收集细胞以便重新培养），并在含有24 pM的6 - 硫鸟嘌呤但不含黄嘌呤的培养基中生长7天。将培养细胞固定后计数集落数目。 显然这是一个集落形成实验（colony forming assay）或者Clonogenic assay..... |
