Dear Prof. ***, Thank you for submitting your paper to Electrochemistry Communications. As announced in issue 2 of 2000, we now review ALL manuscripts in respect of the need for URGENT publication before inviting referees' comments. We expect that less than 50% of submitted papers will pass that initial screening. I have read your note and believe that the urgency criterion is not met.
