| G2 and G3 were obtained from G1, a binary image produced by iterative threshold segmentation, by negation and dilation, respectively. A new image G4 was then obtained by subtraction of G3 from G2. A small region with an appropriate area value in image G4 was selected and most of the dummy area of the tissue and cell binary image was excluded. It should be noted that the area value in the selected region referred to pixel value rather than the actual size of the area. After analyzing a large number of experimental results, it was concluded that ideal results could be obtained by selection of 10 small neighboring regions each with an area value of 200 without dummy areas. |
