While remarkably selective for Cu(II) ion, the adsorbent is nearly inert and can retain up to 85% of its initial saturation capacity after six uses

  "inert" = 几乎从不反应, 所以 "remarkable" = high capacity for Cu(II)
  "use" =使用一次; "uses" = 多次使用
  after six uses = after six runs = after being used six times
