CONCLUSION The ASM (B, C) and AM (D) castables presented different thermal properties, when compared with the AS (A) castable, due to the formation of spinel during the use of ladle. And the AS (A) castable is suitable in specific work environment where empty ladle time is long and operation condition is unstable due to its thermal stability. However, we have concluded that magnesia-containing castables in stable work environments because of the higher corrosion and slag penetration resistance in comparison with the AS (A). As one of the applicable material for castables, we have applied the ASM (C) and achieved the improved corrosion rated by 10% in comparison with the AS (A). |
