In order to investigate the corrosion resistance of each specimen, a rotary corrosion test was conducted. The experiment was repeated 10 times
after putting slag into the castable at 1650℃±50℃ for an hour, and the slag, of which the C/S was 5.8 (C/S=5.8), was  collected at the work site.
Fig. 5 shows the cross sections of the specimens. Slag penetration layers were not found in all the specimens. The corrosion resistance index
of those specimens appeared to be A>B>C>D in order of numerical value.
It is considered that the corrosion resistance of castables were improved due to the densification of fine structure during the expansion of volume
due to the spinel formation after adding magnesia.
