The optimal molar ratio of B/C in catalyst A was D. When the ratio increased progressively,  the active substance E on the surface of catalyst would be in an amorphous or low crystalline state, leading to a change in the catalyst surface structure and consequently a decrease in catalyst activity.

The optimum molar ratio of B/C in the catalyst A was D. When the proportion continues to increase, it will make surfactant E on surface of the catalyst changing into the form of amorphous or small crystalline, which influences surface structure of the catalyst and reduce its activity.
