Special Issue on
The Development of Computer Simulation and Modeling on the Energy and Environment

The Scientific World Journal is a peer-reviewed, open access journal, which means that all published articles are made freely available online without a subscription, and authors retain the copyright of their work. Moreover, all published articles will be made available on PubMed Central and indexed in PubMed at the time of publication. The most recent Impact Factor for The Scientific World Journal is 1.730 according to 2012 Journal Citation Reports released by Thomson Reuters (ISI) in mid 2013.

We are delighted to invite the investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the development of energy and environment on computer simulation. The academia, industry and researchers in this field with the novel computer technologies and methods to deal with the problems of energy and environment are welcome. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

 Computational and numerical modeling and simulation on new approaches of energy production and storage
 the theoretical study of photophysical, photochemical as well as photobiological processes occurring in photoactive layer in organic and biologic solar cells
 The measure and analysis of microcosmic characteristic at the atomic and molecular level in materials and nanotechnology for energy systems
 The mechanism in CO2 capture, storage and utilization at the meso and nanoscale
 The thermodynamic and dynamics of atomic and molecular mechanisms for environmental friendly and sustainable engineering development
