The Sixth POMS-HK International Conference会议Call for Paper

The Sixth POMS-HK International Conference (http://www.lingnan.sysu.edu.cn/hylt/POMHK2015/index.htm), will be jointly organized by Lingnan University in Hong Kong and Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, China. Under the theme “VIP: Variety, Integration and POM”, this conference intends to provide a platform for exchanging research, practice, and insights on the latest developments in a variety of business areas including production and service operations and its interaction with other functional areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and information systems. Moreover, participants from different areas can seek opportunities for collaboration. The conference will also feature a half-day plant visit. The submission of abstracts/papers can be related to any of the following topics: • Business analytics and data-driven OM • E-commerce and E-business • Empirical OM • Environmental and sustainable operations management • Supply chain competition and coordination • Optimization in global supply chain • Healthcare operations • Scheduling in manufacturing and service systems • Logistics design and management • OM-Accounting interface • OM-Economics interface • OM-Finance interface • OM-Human resources interface • OM-Information systems interface • OM-Marketing interface • Project management • Inventory management • Quality management • Revenue management • Risk management • Service management • Emerging POM issues Important Dates: Submission of abstracts October 31, 2014 Submission for Best Student Paper Award October 31, 2014 Notification of acceptance/rejection/revision of abstract November 10, 2014 Presenting authors' registration deadline December 10, 2014 Early bird registration deadline December 5, 2014 Conference date January 3-4, 2015 Keynote Speakers: Derek Atkins ED MacPhee Professor of Operations and Operations Research The University of British Columbia, Canada Shouyang Wang Chair Professor of Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Student Paper Competition: The best student paper award will be given to the best conference paper with a student as the principal contributor. Student paper submissions will be evaluated based on both academic significance and engineering/business relevance. Submissions for student paper competition will be considered for conference presentation automatically (and hence please do not submit the same paper for conference presentation). Details can be found on conference website. You are invited to submit abstracts/papers to the conference and papers for the Best Student Paper Award.
