[交流] non modified or un modified?

I am writing a paper, and i want to compare A with B. A is something pure, and B is modified by another thing. how should I say A? non-modified or un-modified? are they different?

I think non-modified is more appropriate.
For example, genetically modified organism, abbreviated as GMO
and so non-GMO means it is pure.

Well, I prefer to use "the original" or just "A".

In my field, we always use "Clean" and "Noisy". However, different fields may have different technical words.  I suggest that you should ask this question at “论文翻译” or “专业外语”.  They may give you the best advice.
