请问surrogate matrices和surrogate analytes是什么意思？

最近看文献，LC/MS的应用里总是提到surrogate matrices，请问这是什么意思？说是用来解决内源性标记物的问题？ The survey also showed that members use surrogate matrices, surrogate analytes, standard addition and/or other approaches to overcome the inherent problem of endogenous levels for biomarker assays. |
