With over 60 faculty members in various subdisciplines, it has been traditionally reputed especially for its Engineering Physics subdivision. U of A also boasts of the best NanoFab center in Canada with state of the art facilities for nanofabrication and also the National Institute of NanoTechnology (NINT), a government sponsored nanotech research lab.
