I know the concentration of Maleimide-PEG by weighting its mass and calculation. I wanna measure the UV-Vis absorbance of maleimide by Absorbance=Extinction Coefficient X Active Maleimide Concentration X Path Width  If all the parameters are known except Active Maleimide Concentration, I can calculate it. What I wanna know is that how many maleimide groups are there per PEG.

However, i think your method maybe not works well, because the absorption profile of maleimide also depends on the groups linked to it (here is PEG).
